TERMS AND CONDITIONS

MAKING A RESERVATION

GOOD HOUSEKEEPING DEPOSIT

A Good housekeeping deposit of £250 is required on all bookings. This should be a separate payment, made at the same time as the full balance, which will be refunded in full unless the property is left in an unacceptable manner.

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES

Your lodge will be ready for you by 4p.m. and the property must be vacated by 10a.m. on the day of departure. Your key will be at the lodge in a key safe. The code is on your booking form. We will call along the following morning at 11a.m. to welcome you. Please let us know if you are going to be out.

CLEANING

The property should be left clean and tidy on departure and any damages must be reported prior to departure. If the booking is for longer than one week, guests will be given clean linen and the lodge cleaned halfway through their break if required. Please contact us for arrangements.

PETS

No pets allowed on premises

SMOKING

No smoking allowed on premises

CHILDREN

No Children under the age of 16 allowed on premises

OCCUPANCY

The occupancy of the property should not exceed the number stated on the booking form. Maximum 4 people.

ADVERSE TRAVEL CONDITIONS

Where there are ferry, rail or plane disruptions due to bad weather conditions or industrial action, Lodges at the Mains cannot be held responsible for non-arrival at the lodges and no refunds will be given.

VEHICLES/PERSONAL PROPERTY

As well as cancellation and curtailment insurance, clients are recommended to take out holiday insurance to cover loss or damage to personal effects.
Vehicles, accessories and contents are left at their owner’s risk.
The proprietors will not be held responsible for any loss or damage or injury to persons not caused through the fault of the proprietor.

DAMAGES

All damages and losses will be charged in full and should be reported before departure.

RESTRICTIONS ON RENTAL

We reserve the right to remove person or persons from the property due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to the property or exceeding the stated occupancy. Refund will be at the discretion of the owners. In order to conserve wildlife and habitats certain restrictions apply to the environs.

RECYCLING

We encourage guests to recycle as much waste as possible and provide suitable facilities.

 

HOLIDAY PROTECTION

We strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance to minimise the cost and inconvenience of cancelled bookings. You may have to forfeit the full cost of your holiday in certain circumstances.

CANCELLATION

If you require to cancel a reservation for any reason we must be notified by telephone immediately and cancellation must also be confirmed in writing, either by email or post, within 5 days. This gives us the best chance of re-letting the property.  Deposits will not be refunded for cancelled bookings. Balances will only be refunded if the property is re-let. The total (deposit, balance and good housekeeping deposit) is payable no later than 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday.

We strongly advise you to take out insurance cover to prevent these cancellation costs.

AVAILABILITY

If for any reason, outwith our control, the lodge is not available to the tenant on the date stated we are unable to guarantee provision of alternative accommodation. Should this occur the deposit and full balance will be refunded in full. The tenant will have no further claim against the proprietor.
To improve the facilities within the lodges, the proprietors reserve the right to alter or amend the facilities made available at Lodges at the Mains.
